(W)READ
Recommendations for our first section propose consideration of relation to self, to another human, to an ecosystem, to fellow species. In the spirit of disability justice, I offer a couple of necessary reads in the (W)READ section to attune to how any body may be a body who acts, reacts, responds, listens in our órói (unrest).
How to (w)read: Once you read a text, write down as much of it as you can remember without looking again at the text.
- “Spoon Theory” by Christine Miserando
- “Sick Woman Theory” by Johanna Hedva
- The Unnaming of Aliass by Karin Bolender
- Butterfly Nebula by Mette Moestrup (available in bookstores)
- “In the Guinea Pig Cave” by Aase Berg, translated by Johannes Göransson
