Om kurset
This course explores multilingual writing as a lived practice, focusing on a writer’s presence, positioning, and sustainability rather than purely creative aspects of writing. Drawing on research and real-world experience, we examine the challenges and opportunities of writing across languages, including translation, publishing, and visibility. The course also discusses concrete forms of support, such as grants, institutions, residencies, grassroots initiatives, and community networks. Designed specifically for emerging writers and educators working across languages and cultures who want to better support their students.
This course is part of Multilingual Writing LAB, a small-scale partnership project supported by Erasmus+ funding, developed between February 2025 and May 2026 in collaboration between Ós Pressan (Iceland) and Red Door (Denmark), with support from the Erasmus+ National Agency: Rannís, The Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannsóknarmiðstöð Íslands) and Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature.
